Closeout Yggy OGs dropped to $1999 today. I got one of the Black 115V units, who got the other one?

PSA, the Silver MIL is a cool $950 cheaper than the equivalent Yggy+ ($1599 vs. $2549). Probably the cheapest way to get into any Yggy for quite some time to come.

Cool, you could buy one of these, immediately pay them $500 to upgrade it to Yggy+, and still get a discount over Yggy+ at retail. 😁

Yup. The plan for me is to actually let mine ride until it needs an upgrade of some sort and do the conversion then; or if it gets to be 5 years old, send it in for the conversion and +2 warranty. :)

While I can appreciate the work and artistry of a wood LP cabinet, I’m still cheap when it comes to practical things. My vinyl sits in $8 IKEA bins.

Maybe if I ever get my own house I’ll come up with something fancier.
Some are in a phono/stereo stand with high WAF

The others are inside Ikea Kallax furniture

Not sure it works that way like when the "GS" version was sold

OK 👌 something to fill the void for now...

Thomas is the big one expecting treats... Sox is his disinterested Mom unhappy about sharing "her" chair 💺

[rant]: amplifiers. I'm a fan of big-iron class A/B power amps with minimal doo-dads and lighting and bling, which is why if I still had a 2-channel listening space I'd already own a set of Tyrs as they are about my ideal amplifier design, both physically and electronically. That Mission thing reminds me of the D'Agostino excess of looks over function. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that Mission is a great amp. But I suspect the price would have been 20% less in a more standard chassis. [/rant]

Going way off the sine wave combining two of my favorite hobbies, auto racing and audio. This is the Turner GTD Pro BMW racing at the Rolex 24hr race this weekend. Apologies to Schiit for posting a big-ass meter.

If done as a casting, it could be cost-effective, after the initial $100-150K or so in tooling. Pricing for castings is heavily figured on weight, so if you can tolerate the relatively crude cosmetics, it can be a very good way to make something.

If done as CNC from billet, yeah, that's 100% bonkerstown.
