Woohoo! Santa FedEx arrived bearing a gift for me. It's the first time they met a weekend delivery ETA for me. Off to buy a lotto ticket and then time for tubes and tunes. 😀

And yes. I've already rolled the factory gain tubes out. 😉

(Feeding my Rag OG via balanced as my amp for now.)
Oooohhh! Nice! Hopefully mine will arrive tomorrow 🤞

The black with mat finish silver always looks elegant.

Jot R and Jot A Discontinued AFAIK. Still showing Jot R limited qty in clearance section. These have full warranty. Voltage change service for -$50 usd prior to shipping may be an option. Inquire at info@schiit.com

IMO best to buy now if you want a second unit.
If it's a bad time for you to purchase, these do appear used from time to time.

i like that version of the matte volume knob with the edge notch better than the prev gen with the dimple dot on the face as it gives tactile feedback of knob setting.

@Jason Stoddard will the larger volume knobs also be for sale individually?

Big day yesterday—first working implementation of TI DSPs!

This will provide significant protection against supply chain disruption in DSPs for True Multibit products.

Cynical internal voice: and probably means Analog Devices will deliver right about the time the first TI boards come in. Because of course.

Excellent news! Stupid question: Why does the signal initially overshoot slightly on the upslope curve? (And undershoots slightly on the downslope curve.) I'm sure there's a technical explanation, but I'm curious.

JA has used monitor-sized speakers in his reviews for decades.
I need to revisit the review. Just hooked up my Tyr to Kef LS50 yesterday.

Also, on an unrelated note, the Modi Multibit 2 first articles were approved. Reading the tea leaves...maybe a couple of weeks out. If we're very lucky, you might see some delivered by Christmas.

enjoy tube rolling.

those replacement tubes look mighty tall, so either something from of the many warehouses of @bcowen, or a stack of socket savers underneath. @ScubaMan2017 would never be able to leave such a unit overnight (tubes powered down) without finding 4 leaning towers of pisa / broken tubes.

as of this post, still (at least) one Freya N in the Deals section. so tempting at the discounted price, despite me already having a (first run) Freya S.

might be straight off the DAC chip without LPF to remove sampling frequencies. Nice to see the TI DSP solution progressing.

@Jason Stoddard Looks like ~20uSec sampling interval ~48kHz rate, was the plot taken in NOS mode?

@tincanear -

Yeah. The Cathode Follower tubes (L) are stock tubes and have socket savers / tube lifters. The Gain tubes (R) are Raytheon 7728 (12A*7) compatible with adapters.

I have quite a few options for tube rolling given that I amassed matched pairs for use with my Valhalla 2. 😉

There's always ample room for self-loathing—here as well as anywhere, regardless of belief system.
Self-loathing is often a feature (not a bug) in some popular belief systems. :smirk_cat:

Atmasphere agrees with you.

Once Jason and Mike figure out how to "de-assify" it (if they haven't already), I'm sure Schiit will throw their hat into the ring.
I think it's been demonstrated that whenever they say they'll never do "something," there's a good chance that down the line they might end up doing it, if they can see a business case for it and think it does right by their customers.

KAs best I recall, USB 3 is downwardly compatible to USB 2, the port need not be USB 2.

Thank you, ORT!

My official title was "Letter Carrier," but I always went with "Mail Man." Or better yet, "Mr Mel Mann."
It should not be "mail Man" the more correct version is "Person Person".
