Out of curiosity what 12AU7 tubes did you go for? I just got an amp that takes them so I am on the hunt for some good NOS onesTonight it was dinner out and then some Diana Damrau singing Mozart, Salieri, and Righini. A cd in the transport. My wife’s birthday so her choice of music.
Freaking cold here for October so a fire in the wood stove and fine bourbon completes the evening. I have been changing 12AU7 tubes in a power amp and came upon a magical combination. No sense trying to describe some things, when it is right you just know it.

Was I the only one who envisioned black powder coated components as giving extra ”punch” to the 1812 Overture?
All I know is, despite what @ArmchairPhilosopher says, black looks cool and elegant and I'm glad that I finally got my first black Schiit.
Why is NC so prevalent? Just for the bling factor?... constraints of NC stamping ...) and NC milling ... are hard to unlearn.
