... get your own delta-sigma modulator working. What you may have forgotten is that we have Dave, Ivana, and other team members who have been working on this for a while...
Disrupters at maximum power, I'd say. Now is that an FPGA or are you taking advantage of the Chips Act to make your own foundry?

I just hope no one buys a record cleaner so they can buy records then a turntable, then a phono pre-amp unless it is a Mani.
You forgot a record rack. Can you recommend one? Your woodwork knowledge and aesthetic judgement gives me great confidence in your opinion as to such.

I know @bcowen showed some the other day that looked fairly decent. I am going to build my own out of solid cherry but I have not decided on a design yet. I want to have a solid turntable platform and most likely I will have record storage underneath that will add to the weight of the unit. I also want to include a shelf for accessories, stylus cleaner, gram scale, etc. That is the beauty of building something yourself, you can adapt to your needs. Mine will be made to fit between racks. 10A2D1D8-B2AA-4D3C-92C8-83CEF34DC34A.jpeg

hmmmm - wondering what others feel is best debut album? That would be very high on my list along with Chicago Transit Authority

Some excellent debut albums from my CD collection:

Boston - Boston
The Cars - The Cars
Lloyd Cole and the Commotions - Rattlesnakes
Love and Rockets - Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven
Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

As you may be able to tell, my taste in music is somewhat eclectic as we are all over the genre and style map here... Of these my favorite is probably the Stone Roses debut.

That's why you need 2 tables. One for the good stuff, and another with a different stylus, that'll better track the rough stuff. :grinning:
... and a microphone?

An earlier example from 2016, 25 or 6 to 4.

Crank this up! An impeccable tribute. Horns and vocals sound great, and the fretwork is interesting to watch. Too bad we lost Terry Kath so young.

+1. They are mostly Ukrainian musicians and they have done a number of tours including the US. IIRC, Chicago the band has endorsed their covers enthusiastically.
Actually, I think the 1 guy singer you never see with the others is the only Ukrainian, and he has been posting on Facebook during the war. The others in the studio are Russian.

And to get back on track for Chicago: I listened to Feeling Stronger Every Day every day my wife was pregnant with my now 7 year old twins. :gs1000smile:

I don't care what generation folks grew up in. You simply MUST check out the 30th anniversary remaster of Alice in Chains' "Dirt" that came out a few weeks ago. It takes what might be the best rock album of the 1990s and applies modern mastering techniques to it. Production quality is outstanding.

Standard volume level on my Folkvangr is somewhere around 9 o'clock. Gets turned up to 9:30 or even 10 for something that really engages me. A quarter of a way through my second listen, and I'm dangerously close to 12.
