I find that a adult beverage helps me relax and listen to the music and not the equipment.
Nothing wrong with that and I will most likely do the same once I get some equipment home. First I have to unload a cargo van after an 11 hour drive and return it by 9 am the next morning.

I have already been through the selection process at which time I heard a couple great tube amps compared. I bought one, now I will own both. Both were played through Sonus Faber speakers. My room is similar and I have no reason to sample other gear. I rarely listen to solid state for two channel audio so that simplifies things for me.

Are you getting the Sonus Faber stand mount or floor speakers? I looked up the line you mentioned and they are beautiful looking speakers.

Stand mount with subwoofers. I had heard them originally without subs and they were very impressive that way as well. Being retired, I am saving money by getting everything from a friend. Retail I would be looking at $13,400 just for the amp and speakers. All of this is coming out of my audio fund that I built up through my labors and selling off other gear. In a sense I am not paying anything out of pocket. After the gear is in place I will sell off other pieces I no longer use and should be building at least ten sets of mini radial speakers for local friends who heard them. My audio gear fund will then be replenished before I go DAC shopping. I want to buy those new since they might be more difficult to repair so the longer the warranty the better.

Nice pictures! Real life or Flight Simulator?
The fact you have to ask is amazing to me in how far technology has come. But that's real deal, brother.

So you have to buy a really expensive EV, buy a home charger, then save 1900.- on gas...hoera

Lucky me, I cycle to work.
Charger (not the fancy kind) usually comes with the car so that's one less upfront cost.
My EV (used) cost less than the average price of a new car.
Then there's the "cost savings" of not having to go to a gas station. For me, that was another $2,600 of savings at my billable rate when transitioning from a car that got 50mi/gal. At 25mi/gal that would double to $5,200 (obviously). You could buy another bike with that :)

Not for everyone, for sure.

Hey! you Texans, what's a Buttee?

P.S. I forgot that EVs don't require much maintenance. Once a year to get registered and inspected ($40?) and new tires as necessary (pricey!). So, another $1100/year savings per edmunds for a Subaru WRX 2020.

And don't forget there are many other cost saving factors than just gas. The only regular maintenance my electrics have ever required is tire rotation and windshield cleaner fluid top off. And of course tire and windshield wiper replacement when they wear out. Oh, and while my cars have come with chargers I invested $400 into a high speed home charger and installed it in my garage because 1) I could and 2) in case I need a faster charge.
