I upgraded from A1/Gen3 USB to A2/Unison USB, which equals OG, I believe. A1 was brighter, while A2 is more balanced, less aggressive in details.
I read something interesting yesterday, or similarly recently. There's a speaker manufacturer that intentionally makes brighter sounding speakers for the European market.

Due to housing construction or other factors, Americans prefer less "bright" audio equipment.

In that vein, A1 was more European, hence more sophisticated and also smoked :-D

I remember when Europeans were generally depicted as being more sophisticated compared to us Yanks. Then I discovered that the ne plus ultra of garden decor in Europe was...

Perhaps their sophistication comes with their reaction and acceptance of such things.....

How many of us Yanks would be drinking light beer or cheap wine product going "hahahahaha omg, dang look at that pissing baby. that schiits so classy" ( insert whatever regional accent amuses you most)

......And lets be real, letting it fly outside is what life's all about. My 3 year old has taken to holding his potty until we hit the highway, just so we can pull over and pee in the country...

Is Lyr+ going to be able to drive 16ohm headphones? Specifically I have a pair of Dan Clark Audio Aeon RT Closed. Its kind of the icing on the cake because I'd normally use it just as a 2 input tube preamp with remote. Occasionally I do headphone listening.
OG Lyr 3 drives my original Dan Clark Aeon Flow Closed wonderfully. Remember Lyr 3(+) is a SS/Tube hybrid -- not an OTL tube amp. Driving low impedance cans is a piece of cake for Lyr 3(+).
