A new Modius is a far better idea indeed. For me it is about 40-50$ one way in freight.
Maybe a new modius is a better idea.
Or use it as it is.

I am in the middle of something but I love the strand count and copper quality of the Mogami. I want to say it is 105 strand 22 awg, the Belden is 24 awg, maybe 40 strands or so and a quality product with low capacitance per foot. The Canare is 21 awg? and while I have used all three, the Mogami would be my preference. All are fine products I would not hesitate to use. I love using Belden because it is an Indiana company but in all honesty most work I have done for audio manufacturers have been with the Mogami.anyone here using belden 1192A quad for RCA interconnects instead of Canare L-4E6S or Mogami 2549? pros & cons of each type?
It may be easy to forget when new gear has arrived, but the old gear will still sound as amazing as it ever did!One of my Schiit amps that have not been in use for months is the original Jotenheim...I have the newer version here and like it very much...But for grins I turned it on, connected a less used HD650 and played some tunes...
Amazing how good "old" stuff can still sound.
My bid is 275$ for the lyr and bifrost.a upgrade will cost more than i give for both if I get them for 275The USB is definitely upgradable and very easy to do yourself. I have a USB 5 card if you want it.
For Multibit card you have to see if Schiit has any left for OG Bifrost.
Are the upgrades worth it? That's up to you.
A sample I am wrapping up today for @AudioGal, those of you who know 6SN7 equivalents may know what a Melz 1578 is, for last minute testing I am using a couple from the early 60’s in conjunction with a GE 5998a and a Tung Sol 5998. Hopefully it will ship early next week but with other tubes.
I am self taught, this one has a distressed look about it in places. I was mostly experimenting and the first recipient likes purpleheart wood. I added Birdseye maple for contrast. The idea for these amps started with some 6sn7 blind tests, one of which occurred as a shootout at Schiit.Very nice looking @Paladin79!!
I'm not a woodworker, but I watch a few youtoob channels dedicated to the craft because I find it very satisfying to watch.

If he doesn't jump on it, I may. I don't even need it since I only have BF2, but I just don't know if I can pass up free stuff!
Beautiful woodwork!

Gungnir as a source right now.
Thanks it sounds good IMHO but I like to give one time for the wires and caps to settle in before making finale judgement.Beautiful woodwork!
