Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

In Australia the "conservatives" are the "Liberals" defies definition

But seriously I wonder if the good folks at Shiit have considered building a headphone version of Vidar I think a headphone power amp and a Saga+ would make a great hybrid tube amp for low impedance headphones
Yeah, here too, the intellectual liberal tradition is where the conservatives hang their hats. I don't really know much about philosophy, but I imagine Burke, Smith, utilitarian guy maybe, etc.

I was forced to buy my Vidar used due to my impatience with the stock issues, and it came with a Banana plugs > XLR adapter and it is quite the experience with my DCA Aeon RT. Quite tumescent.

Welcome to this funky dive, the locals are mostly harmless although they get easily distracted by BBQ, cats, whisk(e)y, and silly political arguments. They need regular rations of Schiit wisdom (and best of all, new Schiit) to get back to normal for a little while.

Speaking of mostly harmless in an audio forum, the original BBC radiocast of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is worth every penny. I got mine as a CD boxset decades ago, a great listen for long flights (when we get back to doing that).
One of my all-time favorites. I have tons of BBC stuff on my server and as long as I sort out the metadata Roon sloshes that up wherever I need it.

There are different types of "liberals" though. Conservatives tend to be economically liberal meaning they are against regulation etc of the financial markets and other money making activities. You also have neo-liberals but I am not sure I can describe them without expletives...
These, and any, labels are useless outside the context of the group in which they are used. Those of us who hail from Europe shake our heads that, for example, that the democrats claims are "socialism" or - to balance - that making voting easy for all entitled is even a discussion.

Many of us who hail from the USA similarly shake our heads.

I know I've been shaking my head so much lately that I believe I have suffered from a self-inflicted concussion.

I prefer to bang my head in sync with metal riffs and screw politics.

I’ve given up on politics a long time ago, when I realized nobody gave two phucks whether I liked where things were headed. No point in getting mad about something I couldn’t change. I vote—reluctantly—but that’s where my involvement ends.

Couldn't agree more! Labels in general are best avoided. I find they tend to cause more confusion than they are worth.

They reinforce the tribalism nature of our base human instincts and reduce our willingness to listen, discuss, find common ground, compromise and reach consensus - things which every democracy depends on for survival.

But certainly Europeans understand what drives the attempts to make voting more 'secure', don't they?

I could read that a number of ways. In general, many of the topics that are so contentious here are a matter of wonderment for Europeans (and many other nations). Voting isn't 'insecure' in any advanced democrat as far as I can see - though as a topic it's not one that has warranted a suspicion that it needs investigation.

Conspiracy theories have power among the ill-educated, the ideologically-driven, the weak-willed, and/or the willing believers.
