@Jason Stoddard will the warranty be voided by changing the internal voltage jumpers (say from a b-stock 230V unit) to run on US 120V, for those with the experience and knowledge to do this properly and safely?
i understood they don’ use jumpers but hard cut and reroute the wire
i believe i saw this in one of the production videos if memory serves well

yes, the power amps look like the transformers flying leads are hard wired to the PEM (power entry module), but the smaller HP and preamp products have PCB mounted transformers, and possibly configuration jumpers. helps to have a variac to bring the mains up slowly when first re-powering (just in case).

all this moot if warranty gets voided by changing the voltage setting.

I've only heard the Yggdrasil a few times at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest here in Denver. I don't remember exactly how it sounded to me but I did really like it.

So far the BF2 reminds me of that. I still might keep the Modius but the Modi Multibit needs to go to the next budding audiophile.

I think the Modi Multibit was holding back the Jot and Lyr 3 in some ways.

Modius is a step up with the Jot IMO. So far I think the BF2 is also, at least compared to the MM.

Lyr 3, I would say the MM is the better match vs. Modius. However, I have not yet fired up the Lyr 3 with the Frosty 2.

I really like the Bifrost 2 Lyr 3 combo. Prepare to be amazed!!

I just started with the Lyr 3. Using my Aeolus with some lossless files now.

Wow no complaints so far. I'm glad I bit the bullet on the Bifrost 2.

Maybe I can just enjoy everything now and get a lights out pair of closed headphones.

So far, just a few songs into my experience with it, I am. I always really liked the Lyr 3 since I bought it in 2018. I think it just needed an equally outstanding DAC.

The bifrost 2 thread on headfi is pretty robust and active. Those who just bought a Bifrost 2 or are curious about this awesome dac should check it out.

First impressions and detailed write-ups are always appreciated by fellow enthusiasts.

I'm pretty impressed with the Modius. I haven't had a long enough session with it yet to judge what it does in terms of fatigue during a session, but I find the biggest change in sound has been in dynamics. Being able to really hear the steadiness (or lack thereof) of how a player handles keyboard parts inside of the rest of a passage, for example, changes how I'm interpreting the rhythm in a song. My reference track there was "Gone Hollywood" of Breakfast in America by Supertramp.

Don't hate on me for attacking your wallet, but Verité closed would go beautifully with BF 2+Lyr 3, if my experience with Yggdrasil + Lyr 3 is any guide. When I owned a Lyr 3 (I know, gave it up for a crazy no-longer-made hand-built EC Aficionado) I was very impressed how it kept up with top multibit DACs and ZMF headphones.
