I'd add Gungnir upgrade. It's overdue.
The only pending upgrade will be the Gen 6 USB that sounds like it will be really great.
Other than that, the GMB is in fine shape

I'd add Gungnir upgrade. It's overdue.

I barely listen to headphones at home and I STILL want Schiit.
They just said they were entertaining licensing the building of 3rd party option cards. No decisions have been made. Personally, I'd like to see a RCA stereo input and a DAC w/ Coax S/PDIF input as options, as I don't really see a need for much more than that and it's certainly something they could w/o going the licensing 3rd party route. I'm sure they'll make whatever decision they feel is best for them and their customers. I do suspect it would be best just to keep in in-house, however.
Should there by any error correction (ECC) in such a protocol?Found this from Baldr in the other thread:
The irreducible minimum of digital audio signals are Bit Clock, Word Clock, and Data; BWD. These signals are multiplexed and demultiplexed in all other connection protocols, even in I2S. Three clocks, 6 wires with grounds: 16, 24, or 32 bits of data, which are clocked into D/A converters with each bit clock until one channel of the sample is complete and the word clock starts it over with the other channel. With data overhead, 3MHz at 48K sampling, doubling to 6 and 12 Mhz at 96 and 192KHz sr. This is the most complicated but by far the best sounding way to hook a digital source to a digital converter. Period.
I want a Schiit DAP! Call it The Schiit Player, and have it sound halfway decent, and you'll find me throwing suitcases full of dollar bills at your office windows.![]()
I don't think we need another turntable product, there are already just too many on the market and to be honest I have been out of the vinyl world decades ago and not planning to go back anytime soon. Sorry to say but digital is way better and in line with the future. I am hopping you guys can come up with your own streamer, yeah I know many of those either but none at a reasonable price that has enough features and are top quality, I think you guys can do it.
....{snip}......How can you be so obtuse? Is it deliberate....
