You could probably power it with a USB power bank (?)I don't think there will be a battery. It's a desktop DAC so it wouldn't make sense, plus Jason has made their stance on batteries pretty clear.
Exactly! The nice thing is that we learn on the journey to get that zweeiiet sound. What i learned: by far the room is the biggest ‘EQ’ i experienced. Second is the quality of the 230v you get. The room and electricity i ve now has nothing to do with the house i was living in 15 years ago with my ex. Got lucky there, all concrete good shape living room with separate 230v from old boiler for the audio stuff. Amazing sound that was, trying to achieve again but not easy with a 100 year old house that has a wooden floor with with ‘free’ air basement below. This in a rural area where lightbulbs do flicker every now and then. Changed the speakers kicked out the sub, upgraded the DAC, properly went from xlr to rca and got sonarworks: i am very happy with the sound and in ways it is better than the concrete room but the undescripable ‘flow’ i got after the boiler change...looking for that feeling again. The pursuit of audiohapinessAgain, it's all about achieving the in-room goals. As long as the desired result is attained the brands and types chosen are moot. Once you are hearing what you intended to hear it does not matter how you get there.

Is that a Schiit emoji?... Bonus Schiit Points to @r2muchstuff :+2
(why is the Schiit emoji in people category? Should be in nature, objects, or head-fi. But at least it is not in the food category)
