Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I'll look forward to chatting.

I hope all is well with you and yours, and that life finds a level of normalcy to suit you. May all upcoming changes be good! :beerchug:

Maybe we can arrange for Florence to eat Mangkhut?

FWIW - Mangkhut = Mangosteen ≠ Anything resembling Mango

Thinking of those affected in the US and the Philippines.

Man, that Mangkhut is a mouthful and boatload of Schiit!
Check it out, folks...

Ah, that's useful info. Though Schiit sell it as a matched set, so I'm now even more confused!

Which leads me to ask: if they are indeed matched PAIRS, which pair is which - imagining the Freya set as (from the front) top left / tr/ bl/ br?

Cheers

RTFM. You want one matched pair for the gain tubes and the other matched pair for the cathode followers (may be called buffers).

You know occasionally I always wonder how many people know what RTFM means. I still use it occasionally and I am usually met with blank faces. Nowadays it's probably more like GTFM. G meaning Google.

All is well... It's starting to get interesting out there though.

Shot this earlier from a bit after sunrise until visibility started to get dodgy.

I should have mentioned earlier that my receiver does have a two channel mode that includes the subwoofers and front towers as best I can tell. I have promised to do a showing of The Big Lebowski at some point but it is not raining so most likely we will outside anyway. Listening to Red Right Hand/Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds right now, ever since Peaky Blinders I had to locate that song.

Have you tried EAC? With a modest $8 IIRC) subscription much (most I find with some shuffling between sources) of the music can be tagged as it is ripped. For those that are not, MP3Tag is your friend.
And Roon. Roon is your metadata friend.
I struggled with EAC... it didn’t make sense to me. I use iTunes to rip up my discs and spit out ALAC files. Meh, I know it’s a bloated app; however, I understand how it organizes my albums/artists. I pipe it from my desktop to my listening nook (via Window’s Homegroup), where I use Foobar2000 on a beater laptop to feed my brushed-aluminum stack (ModiMB).
MP3Tag and Roon, eh? I’ll check them out. Thanks @golfbravobravo .

I rediscovered Pink Floyd’s The Wall (a 1994 Columbia CD issue). My Loki adjusted it... so it sounded like how I remembered it. I’m a happy Schiithead.

RTFM and PEBKAC were a couple of my favorites when I was in tech support...
