Is there an April 1st in Europe?
Seriously though, on the power cord thing I always thought it was not logical given all the wiring in your walls.

And what about the wiring between the house and the electric pole? And the pole itself?

Audiophiles in Japan are installing their own electricity poles! (not an April Fool's joke)

Maybe coal-fired electric plants have a better midrange than nuclear plants. Okay, I went too far there.

I believe that noise carried via power lines and introduced into household power can negatively affect many aspects of sound quality. What I'm not sure is if Humanfly and Pietro are playing a prank on their American engineer friend. While it may not be April Fool's day across the pond, it doesn't mean they would not take full advantage of it being AFD here in the states. If it's legit, I'm all ears !! (Pun intended.)

The only one that really knows is Constanza.....and she might not spill the beans!

Only if you burn genuine Welsh Steam Coal, a semi-anthracite with high BTU per pound rating.

April Fool's Day is certainly a thing in Germany, and I suspect most of Europe. And they have been dropping hints about a secret project months ago, and it did sound like a power conditioner:
Wait at that for a bit.
I am designing and building the ultimate power filter to feed our stacks.
There's a secret little boys club on this site and it's already approved there.

I am now waiting for April Fools Day to end over here so I can state that it is not a joke.
Just really bad timing. The little black box is real enough for me to blabber about on someone elses blog.
The thing is that I didn`t realise how serious Pietro was about it until a couple of minutes ago.
I was under the impression we were just playing around but now it is out there and for sale.

I am currently working on a project which looks directly at the power used, as it is delivered, to our gear.
Whether it will 'convince' anyone as to the dynamics of power delivery and how such things as cables and fuses etc can influence and effect said power delivery, is another matter entirely.

For me it goes a long way in explaining why I and others DO hear differences in cables etc.
This set of experiments are nearing completion and the corresponding writeup will further explain more of the details.

Here is a teaser.

Wow.. that's ugly..
You would not say that if Constanza we're laying on it.... unfortunately it probably doesn't generate any heat for her to give a Schiit and want to lay on it. Having said that, does your black box invention generate heat so as to be truly useful?

Eliminating power line noise can allow your gear to perform to its specs, and the difference can be striking especially if you have been hearing the impact of noise that you thought was "normal." It's like a VEIL IS LIFTED! (tm)

2 things.

If I want to witness the lifting of veils I want it to be part of the dance of the 7.

Sometimes, this veil lifting is more like a tapestry lifting. The mud I heard in my youth!

I'm one of the people who read the nyt article and ordered a bitfrost right away. Then a modi/magni. Then a ragnarok. It's great reading about the back-story, and the series you're writing about how you made schitt happen makes me really happy to have purchased your equipment. Not to mention, it sounds soooo good. Thank you and your team.

If it makes you happy do it....

:)
....great. I’m reminiscing about the VERY cheesy, adult version of Alice In Wonderland. It’s one of the reoccurring lines, if it feels good, do it.

The 1970-80s were a nasty time in arthouse flicks. :-)
