Dumb question maybe, and I may have missed this already, but where is this best placed in the chain? Between preamp and power amp? Or between source/Dac and preamp? Or either way depending on what you need to EQ?
Between pre and power amp.

OK, watched the video. Looks like about a Q=3 for the middle bands and Q=1.5 for the top and bottom. Interesting choices. And by the way if @jude owns that Neve EQ and ever wants to sell it.... he has my email.

Did anyone notice Jil;
Analog to Digital Converter
on Schiits Product page?

What does an EQ do to soundstage?
I had stuff with sloppy EQ`s before but the SQ of those setups was so bad that there was no soundstage.
I doubt it would even qualify as stereo.
Can I have my cake and eat it? Tame the highs/room(at higher volumes) and keep the soundstage via EQ?

And were do you put the MP? Before or after Loki?
:)

If Schiit could design a nifty variable crossfeed box to help with soundstage in headphones that would be neat.
Oh, as long as I'm day dreaming; a nose hair trimmer that actually works.

I'd be interested in the crossfeed box (if it actually sounds good), but no Schiit near my nose, please.

Houston, we have a problem. A real first world problem. I have a Magni 3, sitting on a Sys, sitting on an E-I-T-R sitting on a Gumby. The SYS is now the odd color/finish and seems out of place.

Schiit needs to sell update kits for all their older products in order to conform to the new and nicer finish. Or maybe in this case it would be cheaper to issue a Schiit Too.

Yup the SYS went well together with the original Modi & Magni (which is where I began). Now I "hide" the SYS away from the much nicer looking Jotunheim, Bimby and Mimby.

I have no need as I sold my vinyl years ago, no going back, besides most of it (classical) may not be available anymore. But it's still an interesting product.

My only wish for the Loki would have been remote on/bypass switch. My requirement to EQ in many cases is mainly recording dependant - a bit annoying to have to get up off my ass to shut it off for specific songs.

Next iteration I guess.

Actually... just thought of a way to do this...have Gumby feed one SE out straight to Saga, and the other SE out through Loki first, then onto Saga, and use Saga remote to input switch...sweet!!! :beerchug: :beerchug:
