Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Except for Japan. Even my Japanese friends admit pizza there is terrible.

I lived in Japan for almost a decade ... the pizza ranged in quality just like it does here in the US.

LOL! Have you not been to Burgermeester?

I stopped in one of these benign looking establishments while visiting the Nederlands, and was presented with the largest burger I've ever seen.

This is a tired cliche good sir, and I'm going to call you out on it. I've been served overly large portions in restaurants while living in Okinawa, Japan and the UK as well.
I once had a burgermeister burger. And it was delicious but it knocked me out. I spend the rest of the evening in a sweaty semi-coma with high levels of anxiety.

Off course you're right.
Here in Europe that's frowned upon.
Just the last years it becomes an option and that's good.

I also found that shouting "de rekening" yields dirty looks in NL. I enjoyed the relaxed pace dining of many restaurants in the EU ... but sometimes the agenda doesn't allow an hour to wait for the bill!

He's not exaggerating ... I thought the "meat sweats" were just a joke from a Seth MacFarlane cartoon ... but Burgermeester will induce them.

Holy moly.. Are they in the US??

The problem is the huge amount of good food that's been thrown away.
Even if it's not doggie bagged and thrown away, I am sure it was calculated that it's more profitable to serve large portions and satisfy all kinds of people large and small, and throw away some food than not satisfy some large people or bother cooks to make portions of different size. Optimization... Food is cheap in the US, nobody would do what is done in the restaurants if it wasn't profitable.

And to the topic: look how Schiit replaced differentiated Magin 2 and Magni 2 Uber with the cheaper Magni 3 that has so much power that not everybody needs. Think about serving large portions.

^This is a great chart, if a bit misleading. The things in red in some of the columns (like frequency response). Human hearing stops around 20,000Hz (for a baby anyway). There's no way 100,000Hz should be red in any way shape or form. Same with SNR....

Don't forget about the niche audience this chart might be serving
