If it is, let me know. It's my wheelhouse and can give tons of recs there.
I'd love some recommendations. I used to be fairly tied into that scene because some of them played guitars made by my brother. Always liked Doug Smith, Edward Gerhard and Helen Avakian.

Can anyone recommend some bluegrass guitar albums purely instrumental?
Billy Strings
Billy Strings' albums are generally a mix of tracks both all-instrumental and with accompanying vocals. Someone on YouTube made this instrumentals playlist:

I have a fully planted 65 gallon setup.1000000215.jpg
That's just beautiful! That's a very chill tank, you must find it very soothing and peaceful. I had a 100 gal acrylic tank and stand that I always intended to setup like yours, but then we were moving and I ended up selling the tank. :crying_cat_face: Had most of the hardware I needed too, but then kids and other priorities... Oh well, I enjoy looking at yours, cheers! :beerchug:

Also this site has a ridgid size restriction so the photos lack detail.
Gorgeous. Amazing.

What has a size restriction - the turtles? The camera? I’m so confused.

@Ripper2860 Danny Gottlieb is a great drummer. Loved his playing on his Pat Metheny album: The Pat Metheny Group. San Lorenzo. April Joy. Stand out tracks. It takes me back to the 80s that album. Bloody love it.

@rkw Billy Strings is a name that keeps coming up over the years. It's definitely time to start listening.

@artur9 Thanks. There is some serious synergy with the Valhalla 2 and acoustic guitars. I just can't get enough of it.

Breaking news for beer drinkers.....

For those of you outside the UK, who enjoy English ales, I may have some good news.
One of my favourite beers, Draught Bass, which I am very fortunate to get in several local pubs, has become very hard to find outside Staffordshire, where it is brewed.

Bass was founded in 1777 and its decline has been very sad; at one point its Pale Ale was the highest selling beer in the UK, and by 1877 its brewery in Burton on Trent, Staffs, was the largest in the world!

The company's red triangle became the UK's first registered trade mark.

Bass is now owned by AB InBev and there were rumours that the company would scale down, or even stop, making this fantastic beer.
It is currently brewed under licence by Marstons ( another excellent brewer) in Burton on Trent.

A friend of mine, who is a fellow Bass fan, tells me that AB InBev has announced plans to re-launch the Bass brand with a huge marketing campaign and a new advertising slogan 'Bass is Back'.

This could be great news for Bass drinkers in the UK, but it seems that Draught Bass will also be marketed in the States and other countries.
Its unique history ( and superb quality) could make it an international success... again.

Cheers :beerchug:

Edit: I now have an iconic Bass sign on the wall of my 'music room'

Another chilly morning here (38° F) so I'm not enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck yet, but I have settled in with a little music on headphones since everyone else in the house is still fast asleep. Trust that everyone's weekend festivities are in full flight.

@Les Strat Excellent news on the "resurrection" of Bass ale. Always been partial to it.

Happy Sunday (or Monday) all. Spinning this excellent record. Love the groove of the opening track.

Give me a day or so to gather my thoughts on this. Have some down time finally, we are driving out this morning to the Maroon Bells for the week.

I love the new marketing slogan: Bass is Back!

1- Bass Ale is a fine beer, and being able to get it in proper quality here in the Colonies is great news.

2- We always need more high quality Bass in our playback systems. Moffat Bass. Deep rich, well-textured Bass. :smile_cat:
