How about Geothermal HVAC instead?10 feet below ground, in most temperate areas around the globe, the temperature is 55-58F year around, Barring flood areas, we should be thinking about subterranean living. It's much cheaper to regulate a constant 58F than swings of -5 to +105.
All the ducts/plumbing are buried deep into the soil.
Cheap to operate, but not to install. Usually requires a larger yard too.
It's beyond my pay scale at this point, so we planted numerous shade trees instead. I'm pretty sure that most HOA's would not approve of our yard.
