I've been a metal head all my life.

re: MTV. Headbangers Ball was fun, although their playlist was limited. I worked in radio in San Jose CA in the 80's and early 90's and started an over-night extreme metal program called "Brain Pain." We prided ourselves in playing things no radio or MTV would touch - death metal, grind core, thrash, Scandinavian black metal, German noise and industrial metal, technical metal... the most commercial thing we ever played as something like Helloween. :)
Rammstein?
Sabaton?

... Twins were there, I repeat twins!!!🤪

... I mostly listened and looked at the turntable. That is my story and I’m sticking to it.
....
I think you need to work on the internal consistency of your story

My story, my words.😀 Anyway I can tell them apart because one has blonde highlights but the voices are identical. So much fun to talk to.

So, went out to the best local brewery, Dancing Gnome and they had an English Mild on nitro. Got to say, I thought it was wonderful. Even managed to split the G on the second attempt.

Ever see (hear) the movie: the Keep?

Up in that pantheon.
Oh, that looks like fun and a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream!

I was raised on Hammer films so my go-tos often feature Peter Cushing.

I'd love to rewatch Haunted but it seems unavailable.

Blessed to have clean mains. Got no stories….. well
Latest power story: the power company (PG&E) that serves our other place had a scheduled shutdown to replace equipment last Friday. We have a whole-house generator there (power outages from winter storms are common, one of those two winters ago lasted 9 days, glad that we have a 500 gal propane tank underground) but the switchover takes 30 sec or so when everything goes down and has to boot back up. That Friday I did not use the speaker system. Saturday evening tried to play some music for dinner, no sound. I had a previous issue with the Linn streamer/pre for the ATC active speakers that was similar and required sending it back to Scotland for repair, so I feared it would be the same issue, triggered by the power glitch. Finally decided to test with my backup, Chord Hugo 2 + Kara. Wow, same silence. Then plugged headphones into the Kara: music! What? Decided to power-cycle the speakers just in case. As I was preparing to do that, I noticed a very small red LED on, on the speakers' back, with small writing next to it saying "FAULT". No idea what that meant, but powered them off, unplugged power cables, and waited a few minutes. Plugged them back in, pushed power switches in, and there they were, playing beautifully again, no LEDs on. The dealer, who is an EE and knows this gear really, really well, had never seen this.

Managing complex electronics in power-challenged remote places is so much fun...

I've always got a flask of something about my person while I stroll the neighborhood with my kids on Halloween night. 😊
Last few Halloweens we've been elsewhere. This time we were in, got candy. No T&Ts at all so far (7:30pm)

Division Bell (on OG vinyl) is under rated.. nice! (Zevon and The Clash of course are de Rigeur)

If you like the RCA/LSC sound of Scheherazade, I would recommend finding a copy of the Chesky re-issue of Lt. Kije (from the OG RCA master tapes)… (from memory, the LP is in the basement racks anon, CR-4?). The flute is the most lifelike flute in an orchestra I’ve ever heard, non-live.Talk about you are THERE. Every confidence your SF’s will deliver on it.
That is a good one…

None? Sorry. I went through $75 worth of candy in an hour and a half. Lots of kiddos. Wasn't sure what to expect since this was our first Halloween here, but next year I apparently need more candy.

Yeah, that's all good and fine but can you tell them apart in a properly conducted double-blind test? 🤣

I do try to pay attention to those who have specific likes. Unless it is Marilyn Manson of course.🤪

I did want to try some rock so it was Zevon, Pink Floyd (Division Bell), and The Clash but just a song or two.
Sorry, but Division Bell is NOT Pink Floyd. Without Roger Waters there is no Pink Floyd - no matter how good David Gilmour is.

My neighborhood is a destination on Halloween and is the manifestation of every trick or treat scene you've ever seen in a film. It's wild here.

Our first year here we ran out of candy in 20 minutes flat. We just had no idea. 😳
