Hi all!
Breaking in my new refurbished hifiman Arya stealth on some schiit! Coming from he400i and meze 99 neo, I'm completely blown away. They sound great on my Vali 2/modi + stack, and they run great on my fulla e at the office. I might be looking at a schiit amp upgrade in the future, but for now, this is incredible for me. At $599, I think these refurbished Arya stealth are a steal!

Thoughts from the horde on what a good compliment/upgrade would be for amplification in the future? I'm thinking midgard, asgard or jotunheim 2. I definitely don't need tons of power for these, but still....

Question for y'all: ... Is a processor in HT parlance basically functioning as a pre-amp that is also decoding all of the multichannel information? And to that end, could I instead connect my Freya N the same way to integrate tubes back into my setup? I'd love to try this out if it works the way I'm thinking it does.

My current set up is similar to what you're looking for.
Anthem AVM L/R channels -> Ayre integrated HT Bypass (lots of different names for this feature).
For a little while I had something like: AVR -> Ayre preamp -> Vidar.

The advantage, for me, is more "pure" analog processing from my DAC than the AVR is capable of. Also, everything is off when I'm listening to music except for the integrated and streamer/DAC so it's environmentally conscious!

Decided to re-balance my headphone systems. Location #1 had two planar-friendly amps (MJ3 and Holo Bliss), location #2 none. Moved DSHA-3F, which only works with dynamics, from #2 to #1, now taking MJ3 from #1 to #2. MJ3 will do both planer and dynamic duties there, it's that versatile. I've owned several Schiit headamps, MJ3 is in a league of its own (no, I really don't have room for Folkvangr).

They are lovely, I really love my Stealth.

They sound great off of my Jotunheim 2 and my Vali 3 with either the WE396A or the GE5670 tubes. The Jotunheim 2 is more versatile, but the Vali 3 gives you something a little different. Can't go wrong with either and as they are relatively easy to drive, I can see the Asgard or Midgard doing fine.
