The one highlight I remember is him lowering skin lotion in a bucket, and the lines "it puts the lotion on its skin, or it gets the hose again"

Silence of the Lambs. Actually the full title is 'The Silence of the Lambs.'

Yeah, that was scarry, but Hannibal was freaking satanic.

Brain sautee anyone?

"Would you bleep me?" "Id bleep me" is one of the freakier lines ever.

Yes. Yes. There have been three films. SOL, Hannibal, and Red Dragon.

All 3 are about Hannibal Lecter.

hmm you're right. I was thinking the skinning guy was an entirely differnet movie altogether. And I'm also mixing silence of the lambs up with Capote in my mind.

There is also Manhunter, directed by Michael Mann in the 1980s (based on the same book as Red Dragon).

Reminds me of a skit on an old (1980s) English comedy show (I think it was "Who Dares Wins"). Anyway, a group are playing Trivial Pursuit, and one person is asked to name all the James Bonds (this was in the 80s, remember, when this task would have been a lot easier). Anyway, after naming them all and feeling very clever for remembering George Lazenby, she is told, "No, sorry, you're wrong - you forgot David Niven in Casino Royale." (The original "funny" Casino Royale from 1967.) The next day a group of Trivial Pursuit players are found murdered, with the chilling words "David Niven" carved onto their foreheads.

I guess it might be funnier without my running commentary.

Seen too many horror movies to be scared by any of them, but there's one movie I just can't watch because it creeps me out so much. Rosemary's Baby.
