I'm looking for gaming headphones. I'm thinking about getting a pair of Samson SR850 because many people say that they have a wider soundstage and are much more comfortable (which is good for gaming) but I have also heard that they have abrasive highs?

To my ears the Grado is a much better choice because they're geared for rock, but the soundstage is much compromised on Grados in general. If you're looking for soundstage, look elsewhere.

You either get used to the highs or you EQ them down, I really like mine for gaming, and music in general.

+1.  I have the Samsons, Modded Senns HD555 (595), and the Panny HTF600s that's so beloved on these boards.  The Samsons are by far my favorite for gaming and have become my go to for Music as well.  Some of the most detailed cans I've heard and I've heard many.  The highs are slightly harsh out of the box at high volumes.  However they definitely mellow out after burn in and are no longer an issue.  Don't worry, you'll love em.
