Your screen shot is from your ASIO controller. Click on the speaker/sound icon in your windows toolbar, then adjust the settings as I recommended.

Oh right.

You mean this one?
Still no 768khz

Also i tested audirvana, its locked on 48khz with no option to change it.

Strange. Here is my setup in Audirvana.

I think something is wrong with the device.

Can you try upsampling to DSD512 ?

Thanks.

Got the same for DSD512. Does upscaling work to DSD for you?

It does but whenever I try to use asio mode it locks the SU9 at 44khz in foobar and 48khz in audirvana.

Idk! That one is weird. Would assume its a driver issue

Not sure what it is.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers 3 times, different usb ports.

I think I just got a bad one. Only had it for 2 weeks, so still within the return window.

Lets see what apos says...

Getting this weird number in windows now while the su9 lcd screen says 44khz.

Thanks for your help.

At least you know It should work normally. I hear Apos has good customer service so I imagine they will take great care of you.

I want to purchase xlr cables for the dac and I was wondering whether female or male connectors are needed. I can't tell from picture.
Do you think a preamp is necessary for the SU9. I am just using it with desktop pc and separate speakers and a subwoofer. If one is recommended, would something like the schitt magnius 3+ suffice. Thanks

One other thing, I thought I read somewhere that the amp should be digital too and not analog.

Apos customer service is just about one of the worst I've ever seen.

I stopped trying to contact them after the 7th or 8th time, spoke to Ryan, CJ, and Tina. No help at all.

Sent them all the screen shots I posted here and explained the problem. They said they will reach out to the product team, when they didn't respond after a couple days, I sent another email. They asked for my order #, I sent my order #, then they ignored all my emails from that point. I tried calling them but it just says they only provide support through chat or email.

Its a good thing I ordered this through Amazon. Gonna send this right back to em.

They are some major douchebags. Never ordering anything from them again.

2 year warranty, what a joke. Might as well make it 50 years if this is how they deal with a warranty issue.

I haven't had a chance to order anything from them yet. Bummer that the SU-9 had to go.
