it is very very bad. no one can make these cables so it is not cables on the market. I asked my cableman to make 2 adapters for my audeze cable but he also made it wrong, it is almost not working. very bad for rad that they produce terrible connectors.

I'm not sure how the connectors are "terrible" - though personally I wish all manufacturers would ditch TRS jacks on the headphone end. They're a standard, long-sleeve, 3.5mm TRS connection. They chose to go with a different pin-out to the established brands, but the connectors are otherwise standard. The connectors people like Eidolic sell for the HiFiMAN stuff fit correctly, they just have to be wired differently.

I made my own balanced cable for them (actually part of a modular cable system I built) the same day I got mine. Other than the different connections, it was no different to building a cable for any other headphone.

it is absolutely terrible. new no-name company choose to make connectors which no one else use on the market. stupid decision. no one such a company started up this way. maybe mrspeakers, but they spent many years they connectors started to recognize on the market. I spent almost a month to find a cable and just can't. so I have this headphones but barely listen it because I can't listen them without normal cable and its impossible to find one. maybe in the US or is more easy but outside it is impossible. very very terrible decision.

in my country no cable masters and specialist have ever heard about this phones. no one have ever seen them or even heard about them. I asked a lot of people. I even asked some masters in the US - also in one know this headphones and no one can make cable or adapters for it. when you big company maybe you can think your own connection but for start up its absolutely terrible. so I can only look at it, they looks great, but not listen.

How is the termination on the cups?

Don't think it's hard to wire them correctly.

it is very very difficult, almost impossible, because cable masters and cable companies doesn't know this headphones and not producing cables for them. and when they do they do it wrong.

For me, it looks really simple.
Take a MM and a cable of the RAD, that's it.
There aren't that much possibilities to take a measurement of the cable, i think.

Anyone capable of doing so? :)
I don't have a cable of it, otherwise i'd chime in with my thoughts.

new no-name company

The chap running it was the co-founder and former CEO of Audeze, so I am pretty sure he knows what he is doing - and the reception the Rosson headphones have received is pretty much as good as it gets for a new entrant. The name might be new, but the heritage is certainly there.

make connectors which no one else use on the market

That isn't true though, as they're using the single most common connector I know of in the headphone world.

It is wired differently (and by no means are Rosson the only people doing that), but the connector is standard.

because I can't listen them without normal cable

Other than not being balanced, what's wrong with the cable they came with?

I even asked some masters in the US - also in one know this headphones and no one can make cable or adapters for it

They're not really "cable masters" if they cannot figure it out. I mapped the pin-out in under a minute with a multi-meter and the standard cable. And I'm not in the business of making or selling cables - just a hobbyist - it really isn't that hard. And 5 seconds with Google shows that Moon Audio build and sell cables for the RAD-0.

I know he was in audeze but his new company still no name startup. It is clear. So why you make absolutely new cable which no one on the market use?? Why to invent bicycle?? Why use different pins than Huffman?? If I want to buy he1000se and have both headphones why I have to buy two cables instead of one? Why?? It is very stupid and inconvenient. Last year I had LCD4, zmf auteur, empyrean and kennerton and use the same prion4s cable for all of them!!! It was great! Now I have bought that rad0 and have many many troubles to find a cable for them, why?? No one knows this company, this headphones and no one make cables for them. I never use moon cables, try 10 years ago and it was really bad. Anyway it is in the US, far away from me. I asked a few company, no one do it. One guy tried and it was wrong, he used too long connectors. Impossible to listen. Why meze and zmf, also start ups recently, used normal popular connectors and it is easy to find cables for them both aftermarket and second marked, I usually prefer second market, and their phones quickly became popular. It would be terrible for them make their own connectors which no one produce and no one really understand. I am happy you can produce cables on your own, but 98% people can’t.

Cable which was in the box also impossible to use. First, it’s 3.5, I don’t use any 3.5 mm devices except my crayon n6ii where I prefer 4.4, not 3.5. Second, my main amp is ECBA and it’s totally balanced and I can’t use 3.5 cable there anyway, third it’s just bad, this cable not same level as headphones, when I used normal cables with adapters it’s absolutely other sound, but the sound is unstable because adapters are wrong.

You may try sending this wiring diagram (https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ros...autiful-new-baby.905794/page-16#post-15189901) to your so called "master" to figure out. Your "master" should be able to understand unless the word "master" has different definition in your country.

Ok, thank you. But the problem not only in pins, but also in length. Short ones can’t fit because they can’t get inside headphones and reach, but long also doesn’t work because internal part of headphones is very very unusual. I tried both options and my cable guy doesn’t have other middle solutions.

Hi

the RAD-0 have a narrow deep recess, hence thin barrow connectors need be used .. there's a schematic in this forum I'd posted previously for the proper pinout setup, for the RAD-O specifically for a 4 pin XLR setup.

I would suggest you to spend time reading the previos posts in this thread before posting in sucession: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ros...autiful-new-baby.905794/page-21#post-15363364
