I'll have to put the Sylvania's back in when I get a chance. I'm finding the Ken-Rad very balanced top to bottom. Nothing really stands out except the sub bass, but not in a bad way. The bass hits hard but is not bloated, it's well defined. The mids are right in line with the lows and highs. They aren't recessed or pushed forward like the Sylvania. The highs are nice and detailed with sparkle without being harsh. I get fatigued quick by harsh highs and I can listen for hours to these with no issues. I'm listening to Diana Krall on my Aeolus with universe perforated suede pads and it's just beautiful. Excellent instrument separation. Like I said, everything is pretty linear. Her vocals aren't pushed forward, but not recessed either. I don't feel like anything is missing and right now, I have no desire to switch them out. Well worth the $50 I paid for them. I think I got a pretty good price. I've seen them over $100 for a pair.
