KZ HDS1 or ROCK Zircon

no specific genres...just as an affordable IEM...

I'll vote for Zircon any day. Everything about it is better: design, build quality and durability. The sound quality is suitable for just about any music style I can think of, while HDS1 won't be too impressive for heavy electronic music.
Zircon stayed my daily drivers since day one.

It's the shop we were discussing few pages earlier.

I can't get the 11-11 price until 9 am local time over here. Seriously, this is so ******* stupid...

Zircon squarely aimed at bass-slanted market rather than an all-rounder, so I'd not say it fits all music categories,no.

Re 11/11 sale..

I got in the HDS1 yesterday but can't comment.  Just went through about every ear tip I have and can't get any to work with it.  The nozzles are so small on the HDS1 that they won't even stay on. Had a couple of instances where the tip stayed in my ear after taking the HDS1s out.  Frustrating...

I had the same problem with mine, I just changed the tips to the grey and red ones from HCkexin, now they fit great !

If you, or anyone for that matter carry the Rock Mula's, try swapping the original Mula tips onto the Zircon's. With a 20% wider soundstage, detailed highs and a better balance throughout the whole spectrum you'll know why the Zircon's are capable of being one of the best purchases on IEM's money can buy.

Listened to Zircon vs HDS1 vs ED9 back to back to back listening to Jean Luc Ponty - No Absolute Time and amazingly I'd have to give the win to the Zircons. Clean, clear and exquisite bass. The low end is a touch overdone but in a good way. More to come.
