it is best to start at the beginning. a lot of the pathos of the strip is in the character's personalities.

give it a chance it is sooooo worth it. in the later ones hover your mouse over the comic to see the alt-text, which is often as funny as the comic (or explains it).

I don't see how you can like some guy making fun of people who are depressed? (ok it's to an exaggerated point, but still) I don't get it? What's meant to be funny?

I'm at a total loss what made this guy come up with this one day and think it would be "funny". I hate being negative, but I just don't understand why.

It's funny, but I find grocery stores eerily depressing, too. There's something weird and impersonal about those spaces. It is known that grocery stores deliberately play depressing music to make people slow down, feel bad and buy more food (for comfort). That much is true.

as someone who just got divorced, gone through a serious illness that put me out of commission for years, and have dealt with depression all my life, i don't see what the ****ing problem is
