Well, I pulled the trigger - traded up from Formula S / Powerman to the AIC-10!

Overall, it is simply more musical than the Formula S combo. And it looks so good! Looking forward to trying various tubes with it as well (currently using the JJ electronic tube).

I tried it with my Avantgarde speakers, which are very efficient. It drove them beautifully, and the 10 watts per channel were more than sufficient to drive them as loud as I wanted. The combination of being able to drive my speakers as well as the musicality with the AB1266s is what put me over the edge.

Congratulations, stunning combination with the Avantgarde! For me, serious listening will only be via headphones for some years but I really hope I'll be able to listen to something like this in the medium term...

Wow, similar journey. Very interesting to hear your thoughts on that HFC/ Sablon comparison.

My Chord DAVE is in the "shop" getting fixed so I am using my TT2 in my main set up until I get the DAVE back. Attached are photos showing the AUX cable between the AIC10 and the HFC Trinity Helix. I will update photo with new speaker tap cable when I get it.

I didn't even know this thingy existed  What does the Trinity Helix do for you compared to the Riviera headphones out?

Audio Sensibility made the cable using Furutech’s best 6.35mm male plug CF-763(R) and their Statement 7N OCC silver headphone cable.

My friend's AIC-10 just arrived. I can not explain the frustration of not being able to try it while it is right in front of me.

Just staring at the box with a blank face at the moment and thought I'd share it here to distract myself for 60 seconds.

60 seconds is 60 seconds, haha.

Hello,
for my review of the AIC10 I primarily used a Philips Miniwatt ECC82 in combination with the Susvara, but specially the AB1266 TC played a bit more balanced with the Mullard M8136.
Greetings
