Yes, Caldera Kingwood. The DAC was with Mola Tambaqui/Makua.
I would say excellent synergy, there are plenty of air, clean sparkle treble, with full body and liquid midrange. Bass is definitely at punchy side, tactile, more to "fun" side but never bloated. The Vocal is to die for indeed. Sweet, very dense, and rich of texture.
Actually there are several other headphone there (Susvara, R10p, 1266 Phi TC, LCD-5, etc), I think the best two for synergy with Riviera are 1266 Phi TC and Caldera.

Any experience with the Raal CA-1a and the Riviera? (with the interface box)
Thinking of ditching my e-stats and trying out ribbons.

I don’t have any experience with that combo, but if you do get the CA1a, it will sound its best when used with convolution filter from Accurate Sound. And I personally think it will sound great with the Riviera, but perhaps others with a real experience can also chime in.Any experience with the Raal CA-1a and the Riviera? (with the interface box)

quite honestly I find it hard to believe anything is much better than the CA-1a which has to be the best bang for the buck available...I cannot speak to the stax offering but the CA-1a is the equal of the susvara and sr1a imhoWhy on earth would you ditch the X9K

(A bit OT)How‘s your experience with CRBN so far?
I like the direction better than the Stax, but it’s not quite there. And as I have the Susvara, which is more complete in that way, the CRBN seems redundant in my collection.
The Stax are unique and ultra high end, but their tonality is not to my liking.
I have a brand new one unopened I would POTENTIALLY consider selling if price was right. In the off chance that someone here wants to part with their Riviera, or knows someone who does, pls pm me. Thanks!
Basically I got mine with intention to buy speakers with it but am having realizations that I do not have room for speakers so it was an impulsive purchase. I plan to open this amp once my edelweiss dac comes in which is in about 2 weeks.
If offered a good fair price, I would consider selling, but unlikely I would sell. Yeah I am a wishy washy guy.

There are many interested buyers it is just how much you can accept losing as few will pay near the retail price you paid, based on my experience selling the second hand is a losing game, all about losing money, unlike others’ conspiracy theories imaging I’m making profit lmao.
Since it seems like AIC could be used as a power amp to connect with other pre. If you decide to stay in headphone game, it is hard to find a better alternative as a headphone power amp. Plus it sounds great with PBD.
