I would appreciate the opportunity to review this unit.  I have heard nice things about Cayin but never had the opportunity to evaluate their products.

I have been a formal reviewer of the FIIO X3 II, X5, and X7,  and the Chord Mojo on tours in terms of electronics.

Informal tours include the Shanling M2 and M3.

Every hardware electronic purchase I have made has been a direct results of tours, formal and informal.

My current IEM arsenal includes the LZ A2, **** 4in1, Phonak Audeo, and Carbo Tenore, and in buds Yuin PK3.

A Trinity Alpha Delta is soon to arrive along with a Tennmak Pro.

I am in the great upper midwest of the USA. (Minneapolis MN to be specific)

You seems to have a very strong preference to Asian/Chinese brands. In this case I hope you can take this opportunity to hear Cayin DAP in detail, your Asian/Chinese experience will not completed without Cayin in your list. :D

Specs look great! I just(last week) got myself an Onkyo DX-P1 (very happy, fantastic reproduction, crisp & clear) wonder how well it does against this Chinese device. Also noteworthy is the fact that state of the art used to NOT come from China, here seems to be another proof point that we have to look at China for leadinf edge prosumer technology. I will certainly keep an keen eye on the reviews to come!!

The Main i5 discussion thread has a brief discussion on Pioneer XDP-100Rr vs Cayin i5, Please drop by and join our discussion, or you can join the i5 tour to compare the DP-X1 with at your headphone and choice of music, that should be a more reliable experience

Does this bypass Android's forced re-sampling?

And I mean that in the case of both the HiBy player and the overall Android implementation in use (since if only the HiBy player bypasses it, then other standard apps would not).

Yes, the native music player (HiBy Music App) of Cayin i5 will bypass the SRC of Android system.

For more detail about the Cayin i5 player, please check out Main i5 discussion for more detail. :beerchug:

ME, ME, pick ME..... Is there still time to sign up for the tour? I am in Seattle, WA

Didn't realize that you were using the AK4490 DAC in this design. Wish I would have stopped for a listen at RMAF as I loved your AK4490 DAC implementation in your iDAC. Been tempted by your iDAC ever since the iDac/iHA tour.

Another familiar name from Seattle, looks like sooner or later Cayin can setup local support group in Seattle :D

Welcome on board my friend, and keep in touch. :beerchug:
