Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

I'm just thinking about an idea for a future firmware implementation for settings: the option for showing the storage places as one big storage.
For example, When I have artists a-k on card 1, l-p on internal storage, q-z on card 2, i go to "browse files" and it shows me a-z at one place. Without switching from one storage to another.
You could activate or disable this option in the settings.
(When there's plenty of folders though, the wheel would get hot, when storage is taken together)

If you chose the Category option (Genre, Artist...etc), it does view the entire library as one storage location. I often listen to one artist with multiple albums across three different locations, and hit the Shuffle option. There is no gap in playback regardless of where the files are stored.

Yes I also use the artist section in categories (for shuffle mode, this is the way to go, when there is more then one album from an artist), but, since there are different compilations on my player, with various artists, there are artists in the category artist section with just one song inside, the list is much much longer then my browse files list

Here is a pic ... As best as I can get it ... It is very faint

The slight sparkly blurry thing at the corner of the led screen not the very corner of the gorilla glass

yeah, I can see it. Mine is gold ver too but I don't have this problem. Maybe you should return for exchange unit?

I've had the the unit over a year so I think I'm passed the warranty ... It still works great .. Though I think the new firmware version did something to the sound ... Not quite sure ... But the sound doesnt sound the same .. Might be my mind playing tricks ... Sort of like I'm in a well ... Today I felt like I heard some booming bass during one track ... I do not have a golden ear so don't take my word as gospel...

How does it compare to older firmware? Sorry, I just got the unit last week and updated it all the ways to 1.07

Reminds me of the old FiiO X5 'Sound has changed with various updates' topic.  Can you roll back and try to compare?  I didn't hear any dif with updates so far, but an open mind can be kept.

Interesting to read some folks are hearing a difference with the new firmware, I gave it a shot myself to see if volume matched I could hear a difference but I honestly didn't hear one. But for me the time it took to go back and forth to update the firmware may be messing with me. For what Bruce and I am aware the only change in the latest firmware was adding the USB Dac feature and upping the file limit. If people are interested in the previous firmware, send me a pm and I can provide a link to download to 1.06 for folks to test it out.

This weekend at The Source Av we will have multiple units on hand for folks to test out!

Mine sounded like I was listening through a tube at first after updating to 1.07. I found that my NEW eighth inch cable was defective. Once I replaced it with my old one (the one I was using before the update) all was good again. :D
