+1. I have both, but only listen to the ks06a's. The kc06's are great, but the kc06a's rock. Go for it @ebrian 

+2  i now have both again,  i use the 06's when i am listening to Jazz,clasic rock , 06a for EDM, Trance, POP.   IMHO 06'sthey are more smother and i like the treble more, 
The 06a's are more bassy.

I definitely want the KC06A then.  I guess I just have to wait for a sale or for the Canadian Dollar to recover a bit.  Right now the A is waaaay above my ideal price range.

Just found KC06A on ebay for $50 USD, free shipping from a seller named "hi-spec-only".  Just wondering if anyone has experience buying from them.. they're significantly cheaper than everyone else, including Penon and Shenzhen.

anyone compared these to the LZ A2 or the Havi B3 Pro1 lately?

Compared to the Havi B3 Pro I, the KC06 has a bit better mids (vocals) but softer highs.  Havi's sub-bass extends further.  Neither have much bass slam but KC06 has slightly more.  Havi's soundstage is deeper (I've yet to hear an iem with a more spacious soundstage than Havi B3).  
KC06 requires the least amount of power between the two.  
 
Biggest difference between the two is that KC06, the music is like right in your face, whereas with Havi it is more airy and wider.

I gave away the 06 and kept the 06a and I really like their signature. However they don't stand a chanc against the LZ-a2

The LZ have a better soundstage, more detail, a more layered bass and just sound overall more engaging.

Both (kc06a and LZ-a2) are a very good buy. For me though the a2 are a step up in every direction. The higher price is absolutely justified, imho.

Hey all, I listen to a lot hip-hop/gangsta rap (I know there's a circlejerk against it hereon Head-Fi, but it's what I listen to so what can I say), as well as EDM, pop, and some alternative. So, I want good bass, but also great mids since I have a bit of trouble with understanding lyrics with recessed mids. Should I get the KC06 or As? It's my understanding that KC06As have great bass, and great mids but are masked a bit by the bass. That's good enough for me honestly, but is this true? Should I just get the KC06s?
 
Also, does anybody have experience with E-Cyber Deals or Fentac Amazon? Shenzhenaudio is oos from the US warehouse.

I bought some KC06As off E-Cyber Deals on Amazon. I'd like to make sure they're not fake, but I can't find the "Anti-Forgery key". Does anybody know where it's supposed to be located? I need to verify soon, before the return period is over.

I've upgraded my KC06A to Dunu Titan 1 (with Comply T200 tips) and Fiio EX1 (with Comply T200 tips) and have no regrets. FiiO EX1 is below $100.
