REVIEW: Ostry KC06

Honestly there kind of isn't. Either way, you'll want to get the BE version which is 130$ and even though it beats the KC06 at certain things, the Ostry does as well

ok thanks!

So i tip rolled this afternoon and my question is, Can some one that still owns a phillip 3580 try using the clear stock tips with the Ostrys? I find they fit perfect on my ears and sound is the best i have found after tip rolling,

At least. They work perfect for me,

My Personal opinion of some of the cheapo Iems i own,   VS3DS is good, bur the Ostrys are much better.

KC06=kC06 > VS3DS > MH1 > FXD80 > FXD70 > TTpod T1E > Pistons > 3580 > FX40 > 8320 > FX101 > M6 > M9

I received the KC06 silvers today. Apparently the packaging and accessories are different than what I see in the reviews. The box is different, no graph, and the cable Y splitter is not visible in display. No white ear tips, and only one pair of the fancy turbines. Different reviews have different accessories, I am confused.
I do not care about missing tips, because I will be purchasing Comply due to my unique right ear.
My question, is there any difference in the IEM itself between all the versions?

Inks,

I usually agree with your impressions...but in this case I'm scratching my head...because you wrote, "the bass simply lacks rumble".

I'm listening to my pair right now and there is plenty of sub-bass rumble.  I hear as much sub-bass from the KC06 as I do from my D2000 (which is supposed to be a bass monster).   When I first got my KC06 I almost put it up for sale because I though that it had a tad too much sub-bass for my tastes.

Perhaps there are variations between units???

The two units I tried lacked rumble presence on my end. Let's say vs GR07BE also for comparisons sake.

Interesting.   That's four units between you and Inks.  Perhaps I got the one in a bunch with extra sub-bass...

I found something out out that I will update on my review. Comply T400 really boosts the subbass. I think the stiffer the tip stem the more bass cause the driver breathes its bass in the nozzle.

With T400 its fine. Imo it still lack a wee bit of rumble but it's fine for the most part

Received the KC06 today.

I also have the RE400, VC1000 and the GR07 Classic to compare.

I dont get the hype at all. Bloated sub bass, recessed mid, good highs but not much details. Yes they are airy, but the rest is just not enough.
After just 5 minutes of listening I am gonna trade them.

At 79$, the RE400 are just destroying everything else. The VC1000 has even better details, buts its 120$ and a BA so much more analytical. Buy them quick because they are hard to find.
