Comfort and fit is great. Isolation on the other hand is average at best (with the right tips) and poor with stock tips.

Sorry, haven't heard the A's.

They do look the same tough and I mean that I also read somewhere that the design is the same but that the included tips are better on the A's.

Comfort wise they are very comfortable and can sleep with them without feeling anything but for isolation i dare say they are quite poor. If isolation is a big thing for you then perhaps other options would be wiser. I just can't seem to be using them in noisy environments as i feel that I am missing alot of details and have to increase the volume which could be dangerous to my ears. I love them alot, i mean it but I use it in quiet places

im about to buy the tenores but i've read something about their quality control being poor... so i'm currently planning on buying kc06a

Well people would say isolation is average but for me its quite poor. I cant use it in a car let alone a bus. I have tried the ue silicone tips and currently settled on heir tips from lunashops. I have a friend who uses the sony hybrids on these so am sure they fit well.
 
I do not have the KC06A so i cant comment on that. If your patient enough you could wait for the vsd 3 which I think isolation would be significantly better, I am judging this by seeing that it has a similar shape to shures IEM and they are used over the ears. But have no idea how they sound.

Just received my KC06.... Initial impressions are very positive..... I have dunu 1000...Compared to Dunu, they are more upfront... More in your face type.... In dunu all sound seems to come from far point giving better sense of space.... One thing I have noticed about KC06 that they are easy to drive and gud to listen at low volume.....

I think that's like what I am getting with KC06's off of the C3 with C&C BH amp (with LF=on and SF=on). I'm really not missing the bass at all with my KC06's. And even off of the clip zip, the KC06's sound rather amazing.

+1 un-amped these still sound amazing and the longer I listen the better it gets! Treble is even smoother and the low end is sounding more refined :S didn't believe in burn in but these make me a believer

I just got my Tenore and I still like the KC06 better.
 
The Tenore is no slouch though.  You get a lot of goodness for the money.
