Of course this will be user dependant, but for the HD650, hands down my favorite cable is the Silver Dragon. It does the best job of extracting the HD650 from the veil it has. I find the HD650 to be the darkest laid back sounding of the group and thus I need silver based wire to open up the top end and add detail and speed. I listen to a lot of Jazz, Blues and stuff where I like to hear a lot of instrument separation. The Silver Dragon provides a better soundstage.
For the HD600 I like the Blue or Black Dragon the best. The 600 is not quite as laid back compared to the 650. The Blue is a more neutral / natural sounding cable. Once again it lifts the veil and improves definition and snappiness. Is that a word? If you find you want more weight added to the 600 then the Black will add the same properties of the Blue but with more weight and a little fuller sound. Both cables are smooth but not as lush as the Cardas.
The same can be said for the HD580 as it is the same phone as the HD600 but with a different grill which changes the air flow. My HD580 has 600 grills on it thus it is the poor man's HD600

Hope that helps.

This statement really surprises me! I wonder if your emails are getting lost for some reason (getting SPAMed?) Drew has always responded to my emails very quickly (much faster than many other vendors)! I would wholehearted recommend Moon Audio and their products (I have had Blue Dragon v3 and v2 for my Senn HD580/600/650).

But it doesn't surprise me, and here is why. Yes, Drew is very responsive when you initiate communication. But that is not what I mean, and what I suspect the previous poster means, by "communicative." By "communicative," I mean that the other person also initiates communication and provides information about the status of one's order. I prepaid for a BD cable for my HD800s weeks ahead of the availability of the connectors for the HD800. Yet, as information came out about their availability, I had to always initiate the communication with Drew to check status. Even now, it has been over a month since I heard from him. Granted, a BD cable is not his biggest ticket item, but when I pre-pay the full price, I expect some sort of initiative on the communication side. I don't expect constant hand-holding, or Amazon-like auto-status-updates. But I, as the paying customer, should not always have to ask in order to get the information that Drew has. Even when those snippets are quickly provided, that's still not the same as "communicative."

Actually it's just I didn't like asking the same questions repeatedly. Sometimes I'd send an email with a few questions and he'd answer just one or two of them and so some of my questions never got answered like when I asked the difference between the three cables. This discouraged me quite a bit from asking him questions. Then finally I tried asking for advice on the best way to remove the inner cup to insert the grommet and after several emails of asking, he just told me he recommended I send it to him to mod.

I am grateful he finally told me what he thought of the sq difference from keeping the internal wiring but it was still a few months late, and I'm grateful he did answer most of my questions on modding the pro 900. I just hope he responds more fully in the future because I'm sure many people are like me and want more information before buying. The response he gave two posts up is a very satisfactory explanation of the difference of cables though, and I would've been satisfied if he told me that in the past.

Well, I am looking forward to trying a balanced BD v3 for my HD800s. I put my money down early so as to get in line. OP's comments about poor communication concern me a tad, but I have to say Drew spent some time discussing pros and cons with me before I selected the Blue over the Silver. Since then, things are quiet but I understand that is because he has been waiting for those darn special connectors used on the HD800.

The connectors are due to arrive 8/9/09. We will beable to start production on HD800 cables shortly after.
