[Review] Noble Audio Kaiser 10 - The Wizard Rises Again

Do use balanced silver cables? I have a couple of clips and both cables L/R will not fit in the space for a cable or rather a wire.

I use Linum cables, stupidly thin. But I do have a shirt clip that is able to handle big, fat cables as well. I stole it from a phone headset at work, but it's the same as the one shown here: http://theheadphonelist.com/ciem_review/m-fidelity-sa-12-custom-in-ear-monitors-review/

Looks the same?   http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-06439-20-clothing-clip/dp/B0006H5IC2/ref=pd_ys_sf_s_172282_b1_2_p?ie=UTF8&refRID=0QBJF3WWP4V13TSCW5S6

Thank you for the kokua.....got 2 on order.

^^ That was the cable I used it with. 4 strands of 28AWG SPC. It struggled a bit to grab all 4 braided strands, but if the cable is braided you'll only need it to hold on to one or two strands. Glad I could help!

Hi all,

Ive ordered the Kaiser 10, and wonder how  to get another cable as Id like a longer one.

Also does one of you tested it with iphone6 : is this sufficient to drive these IEM?

Cheers

Vincent,

We only offer one cable length.  That being said, you may want to consider the Noble BTS, a blue tooth sollution for those that would like more freedom while useing their CIEMs/IEMs

Details can be found on our face book page, or the Noble website

Cheers

Vincent,

K10's are sensitive, you can drive them with just about anything.  I've used them amped and with iPhone 5.  They do scale up nicely with the source you use, however.  I like 5 ft. cables, ordered one from Ted's Headphone Lounge and one from Double Helix, both top notch construction.  You can actually tell them it's for a K10 and they'll know to put the standard 2 pin connectors on them.  You just have to decide what kind of jack you need for them.  I might have to try that BTS!

Last question :

Is there any difference in terms of sound signature between the prestige and the custom?

I suspect none, but trying to justify why to pay 1000$ more on the custom :)

Cheers

Dr. Moulton has said there is no sq difference in earlier comments.  Difference lies in the materials used in the two models.  Honestly, after using these, I would be happy with a clear acrylic set!

Got a chance to listen to the BTS today. It's definitely impressive and I will be ordering one!

I listened to the K10 today and all I have to say is wow.. I also listened to the Layla, Roxanne and the A12(1964 ears) and the K10 is definitely my favorite.

Totally agree. Here's how I'd list them in order of preference.
1) K10's (good thing since I own them!)
2) 1964 A12's
3) JH Layla's
4) 1964 A10's
5) JH Roxanne's
Cheers

I didn't listen to the A10, but that is exactly how I ranked them.  I was having the upgrade bug.  I'm glad I came today, I have an Heir Audio 8.A (bought while the wizard was still with heir) and the sound difference, to me, isn't worth spending another 2k.

Zero difference in sound, but while the regular K10 is cast from acrylic, the Prestige is CNC'ed from ludicrously exotic materials and the inside carved out by hand. That extra grand is for materials and some serious man-hours. I wish I had the dough.

I want the BTS so bad and I haven't even heard it yet.
