Review: Denon AH-D1100 vs Sony MDR-XB500

How come XB500's 300Hz square wave doesn't show the same thing then which is probably more airtight than D1100 and easier driven, I've never felt a headphone's airpressure/tickling my ears as well as XB500 did.

^ in XB500's 300Hz square wave again it's very apparent that the highs are quite rolled-off.

The XB is most definitely not as closed as the D1100.  I have taken the D1100 apart, and it is essentially 100% airtight as long as the earpads are against the head entirely.

IMHO:  These are very nice sounding, punchy deep bass, but they are super fragile unfortunately.  I had a pair which I treated with "Kid Gloves" and they cracked-just like everyone warned.  Sound is very nice, but the plastic is the deal breaker.  Advise to look at M50's or something else.
