Few months?  Better make a deal alert on camelcamelcamel.com (set region to jp)
When you have a price dip on Amazon.jp, that usually reflects the market value.  I am hoping they drop as well haha

DT250 are pretty decent so you should be in good company while you wait

Thank you for that wonderful website! (that's the best I could come up with after rewriting it 5 times)

I'm even considering Ebay as an option at this point >_>...

haha,

no worries.

eBay kind of annoying because most low price items have issues especially if new. I would avoid items shipped from international locations as paying the return shipping would be costly.

Sellers often deduct shipping from refund with an additional restocking fee, regardless of situation. Lost over $200 this past 6 months because of poor quality sellers >.>

Not all eBayers are bad, and US sellers with good feedback like to keep it that way. eBay does enforce policies to protect buyers, so do not hesitate if you find an excellent deal. Just try to buy from sellers in your country is all,

I finally decided on getting the AD900x after about 15mins of comparisons, especially with the MA900. As great as the MA900 was at soundstage, I just didn't like how 'forgiving' it was in a lot of tracks. I seemed to enjoy the rather colder sound of the AD series a bit more. I also felt more secure with the AD*00x's wings than the flimsy headband of the MA900. So far after a few weeks of breaking them in I'm happy with my choice

Anyway, despite my last post contrary to my current impressions, I guess I just needed to get used to the sound a bit more (i.e. burn-in my ears [sic]) and that I've been too used to my Dual balanced armatures.

I need help. Im trying to figure out what headphone I should purchase. mdr ma900 or ad900x...

I figure it all comes down to music preference. I know alot of u head-fi ers dont listen to edm. I however,

love edm and its mostly all i listen too. I stay away from headbanger, but listen to beautiful male/female

vocal melodic dubstep. I love highs which ad900x has an edge on, but people say that fast paced music

on ad900x sounds sloppy or starts to bleed together or something like that. Is it that bad? Will i notice the

affects? Anyways im gonna post the link to some of my favorite EDM songs and I want u guys to tell me

which headphone will be better to listen to this type of music with.

Thanks :)

I love trance and edm myself. I'll check them out in a while with my ad900x's. But the cans I love for that are the Phillips X1's - ever considered them? I do love the ad900x's for vocals though due to their mids, and for tv and movies.

What source are you going to be using?  Both are really good, and you will not notice the 'bleeding'.  It has been a long time since I have had a good listen with both, so I leave you in the hands of a more familiar listener.  But if I had to choose, it would be the MA900.  I myself would be fatigued from the AD900x.

Since you listen to this genre a lot, you would probably appreciate the AD900x more than the MA900.

If you could try and give a listen to these songs with both headphones and tell me which ones sound

better that would be REALLY helpful. Thanks :)

I see you went with the DT880's - as far as I know  they are very capable cans! Congrats.

Fwiw, I listened to those tunes with the X1's. Great tunes, and they sound epic on the X1's :)

I found out I'm more of a portable guy. So I'm getting fiio e17 because it's portable and it can power the dt880 pro 250 0hm

DT880 is not very portable, at least in the conventional sense.  Neither is the AD900x or the MA900, but I assume you know the consequences of an open headphone.
I would recommend getting a warm source, preferably with a slight midrange emphasis.

EDIT:  You should check out this thread!  www.head-fi.org/t/633006/aune-t1-usb-tube-dac-amp-discussion-thread-see-first-post-for-faq

At least for me, the DT880 Pro was a little uncomfortable at first.  Either I got used to them, or they stretched out a bit haha
