Oh I thought the DX100 runs android... That should be close to the 'get the internals and take care of the UI', or did they not? I didn't follow the i dx100 thread...

It does run android and it's much better than the others but again not as smooth as the iPods and I am saying this as an Android user. There's really little to complain about the DX100

how do we know if a song is 16 bit flac or 24 bit flac? i got mine c3 today but it doesn't play my flac albums which were being played by my old Rockboxed ipod video 5.5g at the time it wasnt broken down:)

and is there a converter that you guys use to convert 24 bit flac to 16 bit flac?

If they don't work it's probably 24 bit, mine shows a 16bit icon when playing flac
Oh, and 24 bit I tried didn't work.

after i copy the songs in to the C3 storage when i try to play them, C3 doesn't show the files. in that case i think have to convert all the files to wav or 16 bit flac. damn it will last forever:frowning2:

FLAC will only work at 16 bit.  Its stated on the product page of the ebay listers, colorfly website and on my review on page 1.

WAV however is fine at 24 bit.

Hope that helps clear this up.

then there must be something else with the player. because it just doesnt show the files or songs which i sent it to its storage but it does play mp3 and wav files successfully..

I just convert my 24-bit flacs straight from my AIMP3 player to WAV. Also it's good to check thoroughly as while the C3 plays 24-bit WAV some of my WAV files were 96kHz, which also makes them unplayable by the C3

hi again:)

i have been trying to figure out what the problem is, since C3 doesnt play and see the flac songs.  i have started using dp poweramp music converter which gives you the properties of each audio files.

below is the properties of one of my songs. the audio file works successfully when it is converted wave format.  what should i do to play it in flac format. it is already 16 bit and 44.1 khz.

all answers are appreciated

I got mine today and the thing that i don't like about the c3 is the "clicking" sound that it makes every time when you go either forward or back one track.

Hope you enjoy it farley!

Still loving mine although a studio 3rd incoming,  Its really about battery life though because i do motorcycle tours in india, camping and away from electricity for up to a week or so! Solar panels are rubbish and since when I ride i listen (stupid i know).  Ill update with a comparison when it gets here, the original studio was just far too hissy for me but jack says this one is better.

Try out

this sounds amazing with the black open background produced by the c3.
