Happens for me as well with the audinst. Doesn't really bother me though. Definitely not 3 seconds though. 1, maybe 2.

That sounds more like a foobar or some kind of output issue than an Audinst issue. I get none of that with mine but I have a different os

I think I should be set with this dac/amp for a long time. I don't think I'll be needing another dac until I am able to have the time and money for a headphone setup which won't be for a while now. I'm liking the opa627 so far with these and will see how they sound when customs and some other stuff come in the mail.

I'm finding this a pretty good transportable dac. The only annoying thing is that my cellphone like to get into my music as well when it is close to the dac. It's fine when I move it away but it is a bit annoying but nothing major.

Easy to carry around with the laptop and has decent power to drive quality headphones. I also own the DAC Magic and though the DAC Magic sounds better, i still dont want to sell the audinst. The Audinst is a very smart device, loaded with features and performs very well for its price.

Where can these be currently purchased from? It doesn't show up on eBay, and the link on Audinst's web site is dead. Does anyone know where you can buy these with a 30-day (or at least a 7-day) return policy?

hi,when I used the foobar2000 with WASAPI output sample to 24bits/192kHz and go to Audinst HUD-mx1 USB DAC/amp is possible? The USB just support up to 24bits/96kHz,but the DAC(WM8740 Wolfson) support up to 24bits/192kHz?what is the meaning?meaning it will auto re-sample to 24bits/192kHz?

I'm speaking against Maverick's tube voodoo.

I also be curious when MX1 compare with Mavaudio D1...
