I see, on the Rega web site, that they have just released the Saturn. And you can read the details there.

Hmm the Rega page just mentions upgraded components and output stage.
No hidef audio formats or balanced outs.

LOL. Hopefully people ordering online won't get too many of these in the mail.

One of the differences between the Saturn and Apollo, is the number of DACs and DAC configuration.

" Two parallel connected Wolfson WM8740 dual differential Digital to Analogue converters improving the dynamic range and linearity. " -for the Saturn

" We have used the very latest highest performance DAC from our previous partners Wolfson, the highly sonically regarded WM8740 Sigma Delta 24bit DAC with differential outputs. Very latest Wolfson dual-differential DAC " - for the Apollo

I'm going to take a listen and see if it's worth adding to one of my systems. But I'm keeping the Apollo in one of my systems, regardless.

if i remember correctly,
rega planet 2000 is to jupiter 2000 as
rega apollo is to rega saturn

i remember reading or hearing someone *say* that the apollo was significantly better than the planet. note i did not actually hear it so take this with a grain of kosher salt
