Morgin, how do you play the film : vlc, mpc-hc.. ? Are they mkv file in 7.1 ? What is the audio configuration of the player (outputing 7.1 channels ?) , of windows playback device and of Hesivu whan you play the film ?

I use MPC HC, the movies are 7.1/5.1.

Stupid question: my speaker is facing the window, what if I do the measurements with the window open? should that help with the reverberation? damn, i would go on the terrace to do the measurements

Only when there is no noise outside, no traffic, no birds, no wind, no airplanes.
What about some improvised room treatment? Hang up blankets, put a matras somewhere, ...

You can make a border around your room with a rope. Then hang duvets, pillows, towels, even clothes from the wardrobe to dampen the reverb.

wow didn't think about putting clothes around the room, but wonder if i have enough of them, do acoustic panels work too? i heard that absorbs some kind of frequencies but they let the bass frequencies go....

how can i set a rope on the wall without making holes?
