You are a brilliant, brilliant man.

Figures though, the ones at the bottom are different from the other two and are of a cheaper quality. But hey! I have four rubber pads now!

When I first got my VPI record cleaner, I decided to clean my records. All of them. At the time, perhaps 3,000+ LPs. A certain number of LPs a day, every day, until done. At the time, VPI's were actually not designed to handle the amount of fluid I was going through, and it actually damaged the machine, which they repaired and strengthened (newer versions of the HW16.5 won't have this issue). I think I was one of the first (and only) people to overload a VPI record cleaner.

I don't think of record cleaning as "fun" anymore.

Absolutely necessary, though.

The Orbitrac makes an excellent precleaner, which I use prior to the VPI now. By getting the worst off first, the felt on the VPI cleaner lasts longer and the cleaner itself is more effective at getting the fine dirt off.

It's an old product, isn't it? I seem to remember the name.
