I just tried out my new Orbitrac 2 tonight, what a neat little product.

Check it out......

You get 2 bottles of cleaning fluid, 4 pads to rest your record on, The cleaner handle, 2 cleaning pads and a cleaning brush.

You can use the Orbitrac as your primary cleaner or as a pre-cleaner before putting a filthy record on you record Vacuum.

Where can one buy this product?

Where does the Orbitrac fit in? Seems like it wouldn't clean well enough for extremely dirty records (thrift shop level), but is too much for well kept LPs that have already been thoroughly cleaned once, and just need a whack with a carbon fibre brush in between plays.

Edit -- I notice you explained it near the end of your post already, still sort of hard to see where it would be used regularly.

Mine only came with two, not four pads.

You could use it any way you like I suppose, (it was doing a very good job on the dirty records BTW).
Since you can snap in a different pad in about 2 seconds you could have a pad for the nasty thrift store records and another pad for your not so dirty records (or as a second step cleaning after you get the major dirt off those thrift shop records).

Personally I use an Audioquest carbon fiber record brush just before playing each side anyway.

I have one of those things.
The pads on mine are now too dirty to use anymore. Has anyone tried washing the pads?

Oh, yes Todd, the gadget is kind of fun to use.

Don't ya hate that when it happens?
If I find a questionable one, sometimes I'll play a track to make sure it's worth the time to clean.

Then I guess that I'm missing two rubber pads. I was always wondering about that...

But cleaning vinyl is fun. I don't know why, but it's fun. Maybe it's the cleaning solution fumes.

Lift the black tray out of the case, the other 2 are in the bottom.
