The DM has volume but you can turn it all the way up until it clicks to a "set" position that bypasses the pot entirely.

This thread is old now but I still have the DM DAC as my main and loving it. I would still highly recommend it if you are looking for highly detailed, pro type sound signature.

On a side note I did demo most DACs mentioned in this thread and do not recommend Chord, however popular.

Give audio gd a pass. It's hyped up on Head-Fi, parts are quality, but they're just not that great sounding.

I just buy a Little dot Mk3 SE which is fully balanced.
So looking for a fully balanced DAC.
