I've been looking at the Matrix Mini-i Pro 3 since I heard it pairs well with the HD 800S by YouTube reviewer DMS. Some things to note:

• I don't need any streaming capabilities
• I don't need Bluetooth capability
• I only need a minimum of one 6.3mm output port
• A USB input since the source will be my PC

If anyone has recommendations for an all in one DAC\AMP solution that pairs well with the HD 800S & 660S that would be great!

Are you looking for an amp/dac for space or convenience? I always preferred separate units so I could upgrade individual components as I wished.

I suppose an all in one solution for convenience. I prefer both the appearance and manageability of less devices

If the 1000$ range is what you're looking at, the RME ADI-2 DAC is hard to beat.

Woo Audio WA8. My HD800S sound glorious on it and it has a built in DAC to make it an all in one. It sounds better when paired with a better DAC, but you can add that later.

Yes, I also have a Monolith THX 887 for the XLR connector, but the RME ADI-2 by itself is comletely sufficient if you don't need that output.

The RME is the best thousand bucks you can ever spend on audio, but it does not drive the 800 (and presumably 800S) as well as they deserve.
