Hello People,

I have a Yamaha home theater receiver (RX-V430RDS) and I am planning on buying the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 ohm.

I've been using the receiver for over a year now (mainly for watching movies). I can drive headphones up to 560 ohm.

Will it be good enough for my headphones or is a headphone amplifier better?

will a headphone amp really be an improvement, my budget would be 50 - 100 euro.

I am still a noob in audio and would like to get some help :)

Thanks in advance!

Sure. Why not?

A headphone amp might be an improvement. The problem is the market is saturated with low-quality, herd-mentality, flavor-of-the-month, look-at-my-shiny-tubes junk.

What kind of sound are you looking for?
