Isn't it too much of comics lately? I'm starting to appreciate such movies like the Oblivion and the upcoming Star-Trek because I'm getting tired of comics though I will still watch them.

Nobody can blame Oblivion for being original though. And Star Trek well it´s an old and worn franchise. A bit much I don´t understand why they have to make man of Steel. Super man is such a dorky and non interesting Super hero why try to make something totallly uncool cool?

Off topic but funny and (allegedly) true story about Stephen Seagal (I can't resist sharing this since his movies have been mentioned in recent posts - forgive me) as told by Rob Schneider on the Howard Stern Show:

An unnamed writer (Rob wouldn't mention him by name) was in Seagal's trailer waiting for him on the set of a shoot to have lunch and talk about an upcoming project. Seagal burst into the trailer and announces to the guy with dead-seriousness "I have just finished reading the greatest script that I have ever read in my entire life." Unnamed guy, being very interested in this due to the bold statement, asked Seagal who wrote it. Seagal, still deadly-serious (and imagine these words coming out of his mouth) replies, "I did." ROFL

Just like a super-rich guy playing dress up in a bat costume and playing with toys, right?

Batman is more interesting because he is human, he is not immortal far from it without some ridiculous green stones as weakness. Superman is made of steel, have no flaws. Mister PC all over with absolutely no charisma. A lot more to build from regarding Batman then the Super man comics.

Gotta agree with the above poster. Batman feels more human and is at least flawed. It's very rare that Superman is show as being that way.

I've also found him super boring over the course of my lifetime as well. I have no doubt the new movie will be good, but I'd just like to see the effort put into an already more interesting super hero.

Black Panther, for instance. Deadpool (we'll see how this rumored movie works out), etc.

Hell, I'm not sure why they haven't made a Marvel Zombies series yet. They'd make bank.

Superman is an invincible alien badazz that looks like a normal human being.

In any kind of 'real' scenario Batman wouldn't even be in the conversation. He's got cool toys, but let's face it Superman could break him in half with a flick of a finger. And he can outrun a Batmobile.

Tony Stark OTOH, he has the equalizer of technology, and Thor is a bleepin' God so they could stand a chance if they team up. But they might need Captain America too.

Kryptonite doesn't exactly grow on trees...

"With more power comes more responsibility."

Batman handles Gotham, whereas Superman takes care of the world. The movie will be focused on the very  human dilemmas he goes through.

I remember similarly dismissive comments being made when The Dark Knight was announced. Pretty sure every last word was slurped back up.

All the viagra in the world wouldn't help Batman with a Goddess.

I assume you mean Batman Begins? I never read such a thing then no. It came relatively early in the flood of super hero movies so particularly Batman Begins managed to feel fresh for me. I still like it more then Dark Knight. Batman has always been a mortal and flawed character he don´t have to be made into one like they have to do with Man of Steel.

I am sure they will try all they can to make him human. In the trailer it almost seems like they will try to make him bullied and outcasted which seem to sit bad in this case.

As for fight yes man of steel would destroy everything that is what makes him double booring... You can´t nuke him or anything what´s the fun? Is the best super hero the strongest?

Yes. They do have to fight nuclear-powered super-villains after all.

 Hugo a 2.0, The Dictator a 6.0 and Frankenweenie a 0.0.

I enjoyed both Frankenweenie and Hugo. I don't really like Martin Scorsese's movies but Hugo was pretty nice. The idea behind the movie is the appreciation of the magic of cinema.

Hugo is an extravagant, elegant fantasy with an innocence lacking in many modern kids' movies, and one that emanates an unabashed love for the magic of cinema.

Frankenweenie was a lot of fun to watch on IMAX.

I exaggerated. I would give Frankenweenie a 5/10, and Hugo a 4/10. I found it so boring.

Which is no match for Superman because he is immortal. So why would they even bother? Not a level playing field.

Watched the Tourist. Did Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie get nominated for Golden Globes just for sheer mercy or something? There is no chemistry and they are both terrible.
Probably not their fault the entire movie is bland seldom I seen something that felt so pointless.

2/10 it´s the type of movie you feel you could sue someone for watching it and win.
