I agree with this some what because my favorite album is still Hey Jude. I love the way the songs are on Hey Jude and don't like how the same songs are broken apart on different compilations. While technically a compilation album, most of the songs were only on the Blue Album.

The Poll isn't so much related to the boxed set as it is just a Poll of their 12 Studio albums................any album not listed here was in some way a compilation.......these were the only albums The Beatles truly released. Past Masters and Yellow Submarine also come in the boxed set but they are both compilations in some regard.

Well I do think Hard Day's Night is underrated.............I actually think Beatles For Sale is VERY underrated. But to be fair if the albums like Hard Day's Night and Beatles For Sale were not by the Band who would later do Revolver and Abbey Road, I think they would be regarded a little differently....

I really predict that with a lot more lists we will see Revolver run away with the ranks and Abbey Road come in second..........thats my prediction........id like to see one person have a list which does not top out with one of the big 5 albums (the 5 albums that are in top ranking).....in my circle of friends I happen to know people who would rank Hard Day's Night or even With The Beatles at the top.....we'll see what happens.

I know you said albums but I have to say I would put Past Masters in the middle of my selection with Yellow Submarine seeming to go hand in hand with Sgt. Pepper's and to the
people that don't understand their popularity did you truly listen to the music and they contributed a lot of studio first and always looked for a different sound and if you listen
to other bands it has influenced their sound as well or at least I notice it.

Middle ones were tough to rank.....

1. REVOLVER
2. ABBEY ROAD
3. THE WHITE ALBUM
4. SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
5. MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
6. RUBBER SOUL
7. HELP!
8. BEATLES FOR SALE
9. A HARD DAY'S NIGHT
10. WITH THE BEATLES
11. PLEASE PLEASE ME
12. LET IT BE

Top is easy, and so is the bottom. Revolver was always my fav and it was the first I ever heard, and LIB was the only LP outside of YS that I never purchased as a kid - I had 1967-1970, so that gave me the important tracks.

Slightly on a tangent: My Top Five were all quite magical, when I first got them. Some I bought myself, and at least one was an x-mas gift from my parents. I miss that feeling of new music in a big package - something to look over while you put the LP into the turntable and begin to play it.

The order of the last four is arbitrary and the first three are also about equal.

D'oh! Mark that as seventh on the list, I'm rather ambivalent to that album.

BTW, great idea for a poll!

Eh, can't be done, but it's something like this today. Might put the early stuff higher other days. Rubber Sould and Sgt. Pepper are in lead consistently however
