In this thread I am asking all head-fiers who wish to participate to rank all 12 Beatles albums in order of their preference. The album up on top should be your favorite and the album on the bottom should be your least favorite of the bunch. Your favorite will be awarded 12 points and your least favorite will be awarded just 1 point....I feel this is the most accurate way to determine head-fi's favorite, because voting for just one Beatles album would neglect people who love 2 albums almost equally:

Here is a list of the 12 albums chronologically, followed by how head-fi has presently ranked them after adding up all the scores.

1. Please Please Me
2. With The Beatles
3. A Hard Day's Night [UK]
4. Beatles For Sale
5. Help! [UK]
6. Rubber Soul [UK]
7. Revolver [UK]
8. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
9. Magical Mystery Tour
10. The White Album
11. Abbey Road
12. Let It Be

The current ranking is:
• REVOLVER [265 Pts / 8.8 out of 10 / 28%]
• ABBEY ROAD [252 Pts / 8.4 out of 10 / 32%]
• THE WHITE ALBUM [252 Pts / 8.4 out of 10 / 20%]
• RUBBER SOUL [238 Pts / 7.9 out of 10 / 16%]
• SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND [236 Pts / 7.9 out of 12 / 8%]
• MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR [184 Pts / 6.1 out of 10 / 9%]
• HELP! [143 Pts / 4.8 out of 10 / 7%]
• LET IT BE [122 Pts / 4.1 out of 10 / 6%]
• A HARD DAY'S NIGHT [119 Pts / 4.0 out of 10 / 6%]

Revolver and Rubber Soul are easily my favorites as well. I always want to put Magical Mystery Tour higher, but its not a cohesive album (but for that matter neither is the White Album). Being lower down does not imply bad either, even Let It Be and Beatles for Sale eclipse most other artists work.

My thread wasn't meant to be a friendship maker, but I can't help but notice that Zumaro and Hip Hop Scribe have nearly the EXACT same list..... Really the only difference is the placement of the White Album..........I find that very interesting.....especially since they were the first two entries. very very cool

I must admit I was just going to say HipHopScribe's list was perfect, but then I thought maybe I should put a little contrary thought into it! I think that only the last 2 albums are relatively weak. Another thread discusses if the early albums sound dated, but I think they capture a time, sense of pop exuberance, and maybe innocence, perfectly.

Revolver and Rubber Soul, apart from musical supremacy, also have the advantage of having 2 of the best album names ever.
