Yeah I can imagine. Have you tried the Fiio?
Yes, I listened to it at Axpona. Compared it briefly with my Penta. Still have the Penta, don't have the FiiO I do, however,
have the FiiO M6 and like it a lot for my out and about DAP. In all fairness, it was hard to do a proper comparison due to the noisy environment.

About to take a break and give them a listen!

great size for a universal fit..have the medium silicone tips in place, and fits/feels like I'm wearing customs...really
They are hands-down the most comfortable IEM that I have owned (of many) including my customs!

Hello, one help, can anyone let me know how this goes with heavy music, mostly prog metal and the Lotoo Paw Gold?

I like bass but not excessive and love to hear the details in the music.

Thanks
ditto. any thoughts from you penta owners on how this handles metal music / hard rock / progressive rock? With this music containing very fast drum fills and double kick, I find many monitors with a dynamic driver for bass a little sluggish. This genre also has a lot of cymbal work that can become fatiguing if a monitor is too hot. However, there still needs to be a presence in the upper treble for staging. I find that warm neutral monitors (all BA) work best for metal.
:disappointed: Hopefully they'll make it to Audio46's shop in NYC soon.

it now shows "in stock" when you pull up the product page. It didn't show that a few days ago, rather 'ships late June'.

Just had a demo with the Meza Audio Rai Penta against the Fiio FH7.

The Fiio is a fantastic headphone for the price. £450 for the Fiio, and £970 for the Meza. I'm no audiophile, but value wise the Fiio wins hands down.

To me overall the Meza is better sounding than the Fiio especially when it comes to the highs. The Meza is warmer and lush, while the Fiio is a little bright for my ears. Bass on both is awesome. The mids to me is where the Meze wins. I was using my SP1000 and Hugo2.

I'll be returning the Fiio and keeping the Meze

Hi, just wondering how is the Rai Penta in terms of sound leakage? I’m a bit concerned as they 2 holes on the housing.
Unless you have hearing like a bat, you will hear no leakage.
